PDF files

Hey there, so glad you're interested in our PDF files!

Here are some common things to keep in mind when you buy or download our PDF files...

I want to get a PDF file from you guys, how do I do that?

Glad you asked! It's super simple.

All you do is find the PDF file(s) you like (you can see them all HERE) and complete the check out process like you would for a print:

  • Fill in any customisable fields (if there are any).
  • Click the "Add to cart" button.
  • Click the "Checkout" button.
  • Fill in your billing/shipping details.
  • Click "Continue to payment method" and fill in the details.
  • And finally click the "Complete order" button.

Easy!

As soon as you've done that you'll see a page that will take a few seconds to load, with a nice big "Download now" button on it.

When you see that button, just click it and your download will start instantly.

But I just want one of the free ones. How do I get it without paying anything?

The way to get our Freebie PDF files is exactly the same as the paid ones - by completing the checkout process. Don't worry, though, you won't be charged a cent.

Once you fill out your billing/shipping details and you get to the "Complete order" in the payment section it will tell you that your file is free and give you a download link.

I just did everything you described above and I can't download the PDF file. What's wrong with it?

We don't usually answer a question with a question, but... Are you on a tablet or smart phone? If you're having trouble downloading or accessing your PDF file, the most common reason tends to be that it's not compatible with mobile devices. Some mobile devices play well with PDFs but some don't want to know about them.

The good news is that once you've bought a PDF file from us - or got a freebie one - you will also get an email with a download link. So if you don't have access to a desktop computer right now, you can always download your PDF file later using the link in the email we sent you.

I ordered a Personalised PDF file and I'm on a desktop computer and I don't see a download link - why is that?

If you've ordered a Personalised PDF file then your order has been sent to us just like all the orders for our printed artwork, meaning you won't get an instant download.

The good news is that you'll have your Personalised PDF file soon, we're just customising it for you and making sure we get everything right. Our turnaround time for Personalised PDF files can take up to 12 hours (depending on the workload we've got behind the scenes) but you'll usually have it much, much quicker than that.

Please make sure you fill out the customisable fields on the Personalised PDF files correctly. The variations shown on each one are for display only. Each Personalised PDF file is made to order and will vary slightly depending on the elements you enter into the customisation fields. Colours, positions, sizes, and the arrangement of elements will also vary slightly on each PDF - so that it's unique to you.

Once your Personalised PDF file is ready, we'll email it straight to the email you left when you placed your order. Then it's yours to print however you like.

Woop woop - I got my PDF file. Now how do I print it?

Yeehaw! That's great news. You're ready to go.

If you have a home printer you can print your PDF file straight away. Just open the file and use the print option like you would for your other documents.

We've worked hard to make sure that the file you see on your screen comes out looking the same when you print it, but do be aware that the printed colour will vary slightly from the one you see on your screen and between printing devices.

I'm excited I got my PDF file, but I don't have a printer at home. What do I do?

Not to worry. There are heaps of local printing places around that can do the job for you. In fact, for a quality finish - you should get your PDF file printed at a professional printing place. Just Google "local printing" and you should see lots of options to choose from.

In Australia, we recommend something like Snap Printing (http://www.snap.com.au/) - we're not affiliated with them in any way, we've just printed stuff there before and it's come out looking great.

Ok, cool, I have the PDF file now, when will you send me the printed version of it?

If you get a PDF file from our site, you won't be sent a physical, printed version of it in the post. The awesome thing about getting our PDF files, though, is the control you have over what they will look like in your home. You get them instantly (or super quick if they need personalising) and you get to print them the size you want on the type of paper you want.

How big can I print my PDF files?

Each PDF file description will mention how big you can print the file before you start losing pixel quality. Most of our PDF files are designed to be printed up to A3 size. They can, of course, be printed larger than this, but the quality of the print might not be as crisp as it should be.

I have one of your PDF files printed at home and my friend really likes it. Can I give her the file to print or can I print it for her?

How nice that your friend likes our work too. We're always stoked when people enjoy the things we work so hard to make.

If your friend wants to support One Tiny Tribe she/he can certainly purchase our prints/PDF files from the website. The way we keep this dream alive is by being able to use it to pay our bills too - so support from our customers is always welcome.

We have a strict policy that our PDF files are for personal use ONLY by the people that purchase them - or get them from our site. This means you can't sell, share, or reproduce our files for commercial use... Or for your friends. But like we said, your friends know where they can get the artwork they like :))
