FAQs

Have a question you want to ask the One Tiny Tribe team? Great!

To save you waiting on an email or social media response, we've put together some common themes people are interested in.

Check out the info below and you'll probably find the answer you're looking for.

What kind of paper are your products printed on?

We searched far and wide and did lots of testing to make sure our final products are top of the range.

That’s why we now print our A5, A4, and A3 prints with top quality inks on awesome-to-touch, heavyweight 280gsm matte paper stock; and our A2, A1, and A0 posters on white-coated, smooth 160gsm matte paper stock.

The result is A-grade products our customers love and adore.

What sizes do your prints come in?

Here are the sizes our prints currently come in...

A5 = 14.8cm x 21cm (5.8" x 8.3")
A4 = 21cm x 29.7cm (8.3" x 11.7")
A3 = 29.7cm x 42cm (11.7" x 16.5")
40cm x 50cm (15.8" x 19.7")
A2 ≈ 42cm x 59.4cm (16.5" x 23.4")
≈ 50cm x 70cm (19.7" x 27.6")
A1 ≈ 59.4cm x 84.1cm (23.4" x 33.1")
A0 ≈ 84.1cm x 118.9cm (33.1" x 46.8")

If you need a custom size, get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to make it work.

Why are your poster sizes described as "approximate" in size?

A5 to A3 paper sizes get mass produced and cut to size all around the world and are therefore much more accurate and consistent in measurement.

Our poster sizes (40x50cm to A0) are printed to order, meaning each one gets printed individually. This individual printing happens on a giant roll and is then cut down to the size you ordered. It's in the cutting down process that size may occasionally vary and be slightly different to the measurements you see above. Please be aware of this fact when ordering poster sizes (40x50cm to A0) and allow for up to 9mm leeway.

If you are getting a frame made for your poster-sized prints, please wait for your prints to arrive and give them to the framers to make the frames accordingly.

If you are buying pre-made poster-sized frames, please be aware that frames differ slightly in size between stores and brands and sometimes they also allow for extra width and length within the frame.

What about your PDF files? How do they work?

We offer a big collection of instantly downloadable PDF files. You can find out more about them here.

How do you package and send orders?

To make sure you receive your prints in awesome condition, all A5 and A4 prints are posted flat in super thick 'do not bend' stiffened envelopes and all A3, 40x50cm, A2, 50x70cm, A1, and A0 prints are posted in thick mailing tubes.

If you order A5 and/or A4 prints with A3 prints and/or larger, they will be posted together in a thick mailing tube. If you order A5/A4 prints with any of the larger sizes and you'd like the A5/A4 prints posted separately in a flat envelope, please get in touch with us via onetinytribe@gmail.com as additional postage charges may apply.

I just placed my order. How long will it take to get it?

It generally takes us a couple of days to process all orders, but we do our best to get through them asap.

Once your order is processed, packaged up, and sent, please allow up to 3-4 weeks for shipping in Australia and up to 5-6 weeks for international mail. That’s general timing, but you should have your goodies sooner than that.

If you need your order extra quick please choose the Express Shipping option at the checkout. Please note, that your order will still generally take a couple of days to process and Express Shipping timing kicks off when we’ve handed your order over to Australia Post. Once your order is with Australia Post, we don't take responsibility for lost or damaged mail. However, if you have any questions, email us at onetinytribe@gmail.com and we’ll be happy to do everything in our power to help.

I paid for Express Shipping two days ago and my order is still not here, why?

As mentioned above, Express Shipping timing kicks off once we’ve handed your order over to Australia Post. Your order will still generally take a couple of days to process and package up before it makes it to the post office.

The advantage of Express Shipping is that regardless of the processing time, you’ll still get your goodies much quicker than relying on regular posting times. It’s especially useful for states like WA, TAS, and NT where regular post can take up to 3 weeks to arrive from the time the order is sent.

I checked the shipping number you sent me for Australia Post and it says my order is “in transit”. What does this mean?

Here’s a little info from Australia Post on what “in transit” means:

The tracking status 'in transit' means that your item is on its way to be delivered.

It has been lodged by the sender and processed by us and is on its way to its destination.

It hasn’t been delivered yet.

After 'in transit', the next tracking term you should see will be 'delivered' or 'awaiting collection'.

However, we’ve found in the past that sometimes the reason an order might be “in transit” but looking like it hasn’t moved from its original destination is that the posties in between our post office and yours haven’t scanned the tracking barcode properly. Give the order a couple more business days before getting in touch - it’s very likely your order will arrive during this time.

Do you ship worldwide?

Of course! We cater to wildlings, dreamers, lovers and adventurers the world over.

Please note, though, that international shipping (outside of Australia) is automatically untracked. If you'd like to upgrade to tracked international postage send us an email to onetinytribe@gmail.com to arrange this as it's often quiet dear and can sometimes cost more than the products themselves.

How much is your shipping?

Shipping is calculated individually on each order and depends on the contents of your order and whereabouts in the world the order is being shipped.

The good news is that we offer FREE SHIPPING for orders of $100 or more shipped within Australia.

Please note that Express Shipping on orders within Australia incur additional charges.

Do you do custom prints?

Yup, we currently offer custom prints - both for the little ones and for your home. CLICK HERE to see the custom prints we offer and choose your favourite.

Please note, custom prints usually take a few extra business days to process since we want to make sure all the details you want on them are exactly what you’re after. To make sure everything goes smoothly, please double check the information you’re putting into the custom fields. Putting in the wrong information may delay your order quite a bit.

What kind of things can I customise on the Personalised Prints?

Each of the Personalised Prints allows you to customise various things. You will see drop down menus or blank fields to fill in. Use these options to customise your print and make it your own.

The variations shown on each Personalised Print are for display only. Each Personalised Print is made to order and will vary slightly depending on the elements you enter into the customisation fields. Colours, positions, sizes, and arrangement of elements will also vary slightly on each print. But this is what makes it unique to you.

I love one of your prints, but I’d like it in a different colour. Can you do that for me?

We can sometimes do this for you (depending on our resource availability), but there are some things you need to know first...

Please make sure you know exactly what colour you want.

You can choose a Pantone colour from this site, or you can email us an image with the colour you want.

For colour changes on prints, please be aware that we can only customise the colour on prints that are currently black and white.

This means that for any of our prints that are not black and white (e.g. Messy bear don’t care) we won’t be able to change the colour for you.

Colour changes on our current prints will incur an additional $15 admin fee.

Changing the colour on a print requires extra work on our end and can hold up other orders. Therefore a colour change will incur an additional fee.

An order with a colour change can take a day or two longer to process.

Please we aware that the standard timings outlined on this page will be extended on orders where a colour change is required.

I just got my print and it's great, but the colour is a bit different from the one on your site. Why is that?

The colour on your screen - computer or smartphone - is emitted using an RGB colour model. This is standard across all electronic devices like computers, TVs, etc.

The colour on your print is printed using a CMYK colour model - this is how all printed material is produced (usually using Pantone combinations).

RGB is an additive colour model and CMYK is a subtractive colour model. Therefore, these two will always differ in the way they show colour.

We have tinkered and played around with colours that will produce the closest effect to each other, but there will always be a slight variance - hence the heads up here around the printed colour difference.

Do you wholesale your prints?

We do, indeed. We have several lovely stockists within Australia and a couple in New Zealand.

If you’re interested in stocking our prints, get in touch with us via the wholesale inquires section.

How do I pay for my order?

We accept payment via PayPal - which is the faster, safer way to pay online without sharing financial details, giving you a 100% secure online transaction.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a PayPal account,  PayPal accepts all major credit and debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express.

I got my print, but changed my mind - I would like a different one. What do I do?

Sorry, unfortunately we don’t offer refunds or exchanges on printed orders. Maybe you can pass the print on as a gift to a friend - the thoughtfulness is bound to make their day.

I got my print and I love it, but the postie crammed it into my letterbox and it’s damaged. What do I do?

Uuugh, those posites - sometimes they’re not as gentle with the mail as we’d like them to be.

The first thing to do is take photos of the damage done to your order. If possible, try not to take the prints out of their original packaging.

Once you’ve taken the photos, you’ll need to package the order back up (or in a new mailing medium) and send it back to us - including the little card that comes with it. Please note you’ll need to pay the return shipping and we suggest you consider using tracked or registered mail carrier to track your item for your own peace of mind.

Once the order is back in our hands, we will gladly replace it for you and send you a new one, along with some good postie vibes.
